WHAT IS A ICF CREDENTIAL?
An ICF Credential is a professional certification indicating that you have met specific standards and requirements designed to develop and refine your coaching skills. It is an indication that you are dedicated to upholding strong principles of ethical behavior in coaching.
What Does it Take to Earn a Credential?

1 : Education
Obtain a min 60 hours coach-specific education aligned with the ICF definition of coaching, ICF Core Competencies and ICF Code of Ethics.
2 : Experience
Coaching experience hours must begin after you’ve started a coaching education program.
There is a minimum of 100 registered hours for ACC to commit before to summit your performance evaluation to ICF.
500 registered hours for the PCC Level.
3 : Mentor Coaching
Receive mentor coaching to strengthen your skills within the ICF Core Competencies.
We listen to the audio recording of our sessions with our volunteer clients, analyse and improve our skills.
4 : Performance Evaluation
Pass a performance evaluation(s) that assess your coaching skills against ICF standards.
We submit a recording of one sessions with one of our volunteer clients
5 : Exam
Pass a written exam designed to test your understanding of and ability to apply the ICF definition of coaching, ICF Core Competencies and ICF Code of Ethics. It is a 3h exams scenario based where you need to day what is the best and also the worse to do in that circumstance.
6 : On going practice and education:
To maintain your credential, it's essential to participate in educational courses to be able to renew it every three years.
